Course Overview

Our HND Construction Management course prepares you for a wide range of career opportunities in the global construction sector by developing the specialist skills and knowledge employers need.

Graduates can progress into roles such as:

You’ll explore how technology is transforming the industry and gain insight into key issues such as sustainability and environmental impact. Learning is practical and industry-focused, with real-life case studies, site visits, work-related tasks, and guest speakers creating a dynamic and engaging experience.

Evening classes are available, subject to minimum class size.

Assessment

Written Assessment: 350 words reflective essay.

OPT Requirements: B2 

OPT Exemptions

  • UK Level 2 qualifications or above (ESOL and/or short courses cannot be accepted)
  • Romanian Baccalaureate B2 or above with all English components
  • GCSE grade 4 or above
  • IELTS 5.5 or above
  • Duolingo 85+
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English

 

Assessments throughout the course 

This course has no formal examinations. Assessment methods include presentations, reports, in-class tests, work-based projects, professional discussions, written assignments, CAD drawings, practical tasks, case studies, and portfolios.

Independent study – such as research, homework, and group work – is essential, with guidance provided throughout.

Entry Requirements

Applicants Must be Aged 18+ and:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification or Access to Higher Education certificate
  • Demonstrate English proficiency (GCSE 4/C or CEFR B2) or complete a university English test
  • Pass an academic interview

Applicants Aged 21+: 

  • We welcome applicants who do not meet standard requirements but can show commitment and relevant experience. English proficiency (GCSE 4/C or CEFR B2) is required, with the option to complete a university English test if needed.
