Course Overview

Assessment

Assessments throughout the course 

The assessment strategy is designed to allow students to demonstrate the full range of knowledge, skills, and competencies essential in computing management. A variety of assessment methods is used, including essays, reports, real-life simulations, presentations, individual and group projects, and structured debates.

Independent study is a key component of the programme. Students are expected to complete research, homework activities, and group work outside scheduled teaching hours, with lecturers providing guidance on effective study approaches throughout the course.

Assessment methods are reviewed annually and may be updated to reflect student feedback, subject developments, or recommendations from the External Examiner – an independent academic who ensures academic standards are maintained.

Entry Requirements

Applicants with a degree (or equivalent qualification) obtained within the last 5 years from the UK or a majority English-speaking country, or who are nationals of such countries:

  • On-campus admissions interview
  • Minimum degree classification of 2:2
  • 500-word personal statement

 

Applicants with a degree obtained within the last 5 years from outside the UK or a majority English-speaking country:

  • On-campus admissions interview
  • Minimum degree classification of 2:2
  • 300-word personal statement
  • English language proficiency at CEFR Level B2
  • 1,000-word reflective task
  • Completion of an APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) process
