Assessments throughout the course

You will complete informal formative assessments throughout the course to help build your understanding and prepare you for formal assessments. These do not contribute to your final grade but provide valuable feedback, and students who engage with them typically achieve stronger progression.

Formal summative assessments take place towards the end of each module and may include exams, reports, portfolios, essays, or presentations. These assessments determine your final module marks.

All assessment methods are reviewed annually and may be updated in response to student feedback, subject developments, or guidance from an External Examiner – an independent academic appointed by Canterbury Christ Church University to ensure high academic standards.
