Home BA (Hons) Business Management Course Information Course Overview Assessment Entry Requirements Course Overview The University of Wolverhampton is ranked 6th in the UK for Business and Management (The Guardian University Guide 2025). In collaboration with the University, UK Management College offers the BA (Hons) Business Management. This practice-based programme provides a strong understanding of contemporary business through practical activities, live projects, and work experience opportunities. Delivered through a blend of online and face-to-face learning, the course develops critical, reflective, and agile thinking skills essential for modern business environments. Designed to enhance employability, the curriculum prepares students for a wide range of careers in business and management and is underpinned by four core themes: digital, sustainable, innovative, and responsible business, offering insight into the challenges and opportunities facing organisations in the 21st century. Assessment At UK Management College, in partnership with the University of Wolverhampton, a range of assessment methods are used to support learning, measure progress, and develop professional skills. These include written examinations, coursework such as essays, reports and portfolios, and practical assessments including presentations and skills-based tasks. In the final year of undergraduate study, students complete an extended research project or dissertation. Entry Requirements Applicants must hold 96 UCAS points or above in a business-related subject or an equivalent qualification in Business or Management. International Baccalaureate requirements are to be confirmed. Applicants with alternative qualifications or relevant work experience are encouraged to contact UKMC for advice prior to applying. In partnership with the University of Wolverhampton, UK Management College adheres to the University’s academic standards. Applicants are normally expected to have completed a minimum of two years of post-GCSE study; however, mature applicants with relevant work experience will also be considered and may be invited to interview. This programme provides a supportive entry route for students who may not meet standard entry requirements, enabling progression to an undergraduate degree in business management. Designed to develop analytical and evaluative skills for real-world application, the course explores key business functions—including management, marketing, human resources, finance, and operations—underpinned by the core themes of innovation, sustainability, responsibility, professionalism, and digitalisation. Assessment Student progress is assessed through a combination of formal and informal methods aligned with module learning outcomes.
